UPDATE: Transneft RAS net profit triples to 3.23 bln rbl in Jan–Mar

MOSCOW, Apr 17 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft more than tripled on the year to 3.232 billion rubles in January–March, as calculated under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS), the company said on Wednesday.

Revenue increased 7% to 235.3 billion rubles, and gross profit fell 55% to 28.64 billion rubles.

The pretax profit decreased 58.5% to 4.17 billion rubles.

The cost of sales grew 32.5% to 207 billion rubles, and sales profit dropped 69.5% to 15 billion rubles.
